A CHILLING EPIC ABOUT VENGEANCE, INDEPENDANCE AND SELF-RESPECT

In this feature-length thriller, independent director-producer-screenwriter Paul Barbeau bets on an ambitious narrative stylistic exercice: make a gripping film with strong women characters at its core all-the-while objectifying all men appearing in it. In this film where we do not see the face of any man in order to reverse the tendencies in popular films to objectify women, Barbeau and DoP Benoît-Jones Vallée explore Montreal's south shore with dark, muddy looks and brilliantly minimalistic action and camera blockings.
